LEGEND: Deep in the woods behind Wynn Manor strange sounds and haunting screams could be heard as the harvest moon fell upon the pitch-black night. The legend is that in the year 1823 Fredrick Wynn went hunting in the swamp behind Wynn Manor and never returned. A crazed demonic swamp creature massacred Master Wynn. His head was found floating underneath the bridge of Slaughter Swamp. The swamp creature returned to Wynn Manor and slaughtered Master Wynn’s wife, hacked the children into pieces as their screams fell into a eerie silence of the night. Underneath the harvest moon Master Wynn and his entire family’s deep red blood can still be seen flowing through the creek in the middle of slaughter swamp.

Slaughter Swamp is located off of Old White Horse Road on Wynn Road. Dates open October (12-15) (19-22) (26-31), weather permitting, from dark, until… Wear your boots and experience the legend of Slaughter Swamp!
